EVERY RECORD BREAKER NEEDS A GREAT TEAM BEHIND THEM, AND HERE'S OURS.
BARCLAYS
Matt Wotton and his Sports, Media and Entertainment team at Barclays are highly regarded in the private banking world. Working with many of the top individuals in football, golf, F1, music and film, the team are constantly working hard to stay ahead of the pack. Barclays has been in the business of lending, investing and protecting money for customers and clients for over 300 years and remains one of the largest financial services groups in the world. Matt has yet to be recognized as a record breaker, but there's still time. All he needs is a phone box and 23 willing colleagues.
CROWE CLARK WHITEHILL
We are very grateful for the support of the team at Crowe Clark Whitehill, experts in providing expert advice in audit, tax and advisory services to charities, not for profit, corporate business, professional practice, pension funds and private clients. Their network extends to 167 accountancy firms in 109 countries, all driven by partner involvement and a focus on relationship. Despite balancing relationships in multiple sectors (including years of experience in sports and sports media), our good friend David Ford has yet to successfully break the 10K jogging record.
SPORTS REVOLUTION
Sports Revolution is an international sports marketing agency inspired by today's content-hungry, super-social, record smashing sports fan. They provide many of the world's biggest brands and rights holders with innovative sports media and sponsorship solutions to complex challenges of engagement, growth, reach and revenue. They're also proud to be the largest multi-media rights owner in UK football stadia with a rapidly growing portfolio of assets across other sports in other markets. Wrapped together they call this Future Fan Engagement and it can be seen in action in our StadiumLab.
SHIPLEY IP
The people at Shipley IP are passionate about sport; they're also pretty good at getting to grips with the business behind it. They work with athletes, clubs, sponsors and product manufacturers to ensure brands are protected and every sponsorship deal, image rights agreement or brand licensing program performs to its full potential. In their own words, Shipley IP is all about people so we're delighted to have them on board as a sponsor once again. Founder Mark Shipley is in training to beat the current time for a marathon run while rope skipping.
STARTJG
StartJG are the creative brains behind this year's sportspodge theme, creating the look and feel for all our communications (from lanyards and menus to the website). Starting out in 1996, they've developed an enviable reputation for highly creative and measurably effective work that builds brands and engages customers. Their work is multi-award winning, and includes projects for this year's hosts the IoD, Adidas (including the ground breaking virtual footwear wall), Fred Perry, Barclays at the 02 and Virgin Galactic.
NAKED PENGUIN BOY
This London based digital creative communications agency creates highly creative and technically smart solutions to help some of world's biggest brands reach their customers and are responsible for the build of the Sports Podge website. Founders the Heasley brothers recently attempted the world's first four-legged triple jump involving three siblings. Sadly the attempt ended only in friction burns from the rope bonding.
THE HUB LONDON
Dave Marrable and the folk at Hub London always do a fantastic job in record-breaking time on our print collateral. Starting out in 2002, but bringing together decades of experience they provide a unique total print/media solution for clients and have been the official print partner of sportspodge since its first lunch. Dave has only just recently been awarded the World Record for the number of Facebook pokes left unreturned by Ray Parlour.
JONATHAN COLE PHOTOGRAPHY
Shortly after abandoning his attempt at balancing the most spoons on the face record (at 16 he simply ran out of room), Jon agreed to point and click the great and the good once again at 2012's event. The proud owner of a Campaign Photo Award this will be his fourth sportspodge as our official snapper. Perhaps offer him your encouragement for another spoon attempt when pudding arrives?
