Phil Jones and Jimmy Worrall, a Mancunian and a Liverpudlian rarely agree on anything relating to sport. However Phil and Jimmy agreed five years ago that the industry needed an excuse to bring leading players from the sports industry together for a spot of fun and no-agenda networking.
Industry friends bought into the idea and international sports branding agency Navyblue
agreed to create the design collateral & digital agency Naked Penguin Boy created the website, The Hub London agreed to print the collateral, and McKenzie Clark offered to handle any of the large graphics. Stuart Higgins threw his hat in the ring and other mates came forward with offers of help and Sports Podge was born.
